Roman co-generation plant

Total Gas Power Ventures SA (part of the Total Fina Elf group), Sviluppo Impianti Termoelettrici SpA (Sondel, Montedison Group) and ERG Petroli (part of the ERG group), are to form Roma Energia Srl to realise a co-generation combined-cycle power facility with a capacity of about 800mw, to produce electric and steam-powered energy. The centre will be located near Rome. The project will ensure that heat will be converted into electric power in the most efficient way possible and will use the most advanced and reliable technologies available to minimise the emission of pollutants.
