Rotary disc valve

The Larox Rotary Disc Valve is designed specifically for heavy abrasive and corrosive slurries. Built with a cast body, it features a heavy-duty stainless steel gate and the patented design allows the valve to cycle with minimum wear in heavy slurries, without sticking or leaking. Incoming pressure causes the disc to rotate several degrees as the actuator moves up and down through the cast iron body, a process which ensures that a different part of the disc will be exposed to slurry each time the actuator moves up and down. Rather than one spot on the disc constantly being hit by the abrasive pressure, the whole circumference is exposed. This insures that the valve maintains complete shutoff at all times. Each valve is made to order for a specific application. The body is normally made of cast iron steel, but it is also available in carbon steel, stainless steel, or high chrome. Actuation can be manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic, and the valve is especially well suited for high pressure slurries up to 1500psig.
