Bray Controls USA has introduced a new rectangular electric actuator for rotary valves. The R5 is available in three on/off models with 100, 300 or 600lb-in output torque. It is waterproof, rated NEMA 4, 4X and IP 65 and is designed to offer easy, interference-free access to terminal block wiring and cam adjustment. The enclosure features die cast aluminium construction with a polyester powder coating offering corrosion, wear, impact and ultraviolet resistance. This electric actuator meets ISO5211 standards for mounting of actuators to valves. It also features a highly visible valve position indication system. Made of ABS, a pointer on top of the unit indicates valve position through the full range of travel. Open and close lettering and a direction of travel arrow are moulded into the housing for easy reference and permanent position indication. A manual override disengage feature allows manual rotation of valve position with electrical power off.
