Sampling valve from Strahman

A new Quik(TM) Sampling Valve has been announced by Strahman Valves Inc. for use in manufacturing, processing and refining operations where small, precisely controlled samples of fluids are required. Employing a unique combination of both rising stem and quarter-turn valves, Strahman’s Quik Sampling Valve enables the liquid flow to be regulated during the sampling process. No longer does the flow need to be turned “on” or “off” during sampling. “Flow can be regulated by applying a small amount of pressure against the ergonomically designed handle, or by using an automatically controlled quarter-turn rack and pinion actuator,” said Edmond Ilg, Strahman product manager, in making the new product announcement. “We’ve also included some unique safety mechanisms in the valve’s design. The valve has a fail-safe, spring-to-close mechanism, so the handle, when released, closes the valve.”
Ideal for use in injection service (reverse flow) of process chemicals, cleaning agents and other liquid applications, the ANSI Class 600 Quik Sampling Valve is suitable for handling all fluids except those that have suspended solids that can lodge under the valve seat.
