SAMSON PFEIFFER reorganises at the top

Marcus Miertz, Managing Director of SAMSON PFEIFFER, will move to the group headquarters in Frankfurt as Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing at SAMSON AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT. This was announced by Dr Andreas Widl, Chairman of the SAMSON Group, during a staff meeting in Kempen. His successor at PFEIFFERChemie Armaturenbau GmbH will be Bernd Jenner, the previous authorised signatory, and production manager. The outgoing Marcus Miertz received minutes of applause from the staff of the valve manufacturer.

“I’m leaving with one laughing eye and one crying eye,” said the visibly moved 49-year-old. The man from Wachtendonk has been with PFEIFFER since 1998 and has been in charge of the business for ten years. Marcus Miertz is a chemical engineer by profession. “Pay attention to PFEIFFER,” Miertz – married, two children – called out to the employees in the assembly hall, who are very committed to voluntary and social work in the Lower Rhine region.

His successor Bernd Jenner is a mechanical engineer and has been with PFEIFFER since 2013. In addition to the Kempen-based company, the Krefeld-Hülser also takes over the sole management of the Neuss-based SAMSON subsidiary LEUSCH Industriearmaturen GmbH, which he previously held with Marcus Miertz. “I am looking forward to the challenge. Marcus Miertz leaves big footprints that I want to fill as best I can,” says the married father of two daughters. In addition to Neuss and Kempen, Bernd Jenner is involved in Global Production at the parent company SAMSON in Frankfurt, where the interaction of the 18 production sites is coordinated.
