A new company, SASPG International Ltd, has been launched as a joint venture between the Sichuan Air Separation Plant Group (SASPG) in China and Severn Flowtech in the UK. The new company will develop and market the skills of both partner companies to bring the next generation of air separation plants and equipment to the international gas industries. SASPG is a China-based cryogenic equipment manufacturer. Severn Flowtech is the engineering supply subsidiary of the Severn Glocon Group, the UK-based independent manufacturer and service provider for severe service control valves in the oil, gas, petrochemical, power generation and associated industries. The companies have been working together since 2003 to promote the benefits of SASPG’s advanced technologies and extensive capabilities. This work has progressed to the point where they are now able to bring jointly developed products to the marketplace. The new company’s strategy is to deliver advanced cryogenic products that offer improved options for the burgeoning energy sector, particularly in the areas of industrial gas liquefaction, transportation and storage. The first joint products, a range of Lloyds Register, DNV and BV approved stainless steel LNG globe control and isolating valves, were introduced in 2005. Subsequently a range of stainless steel non-return valves and strainers have been developed, confirming the company’s ability to meet customers’ exact requirements.
