Saudi Aramco awards EPC contract to SNC-Lavalin

SNC-Lavalin through their affiliate Saudi Arabian Kentz,has recently been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Saudi Aramco for the expansion of asphalt production facilities at its RasTanura Refinery in Saudi Arabia. After the expansion, asphalt production capacity at the facility will increase from 22 thousand barrels per day to 42 thousand barrels per day.

The contract will be undertaken by SNC-Lavalin’s in-Kingdom entity, Saudi Arabian Kentz. The project is expected to be completed in approximately 18 months, and builds on the company’s long-term working relationship with Saudi Aramco.SNC-Lavalin will provide comprehensive engineering and detailed design, procurement, installation, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, necessary for the project completion and plant startup.
