Schubert & Salzer takes over damko’s valve business

Sliding gate valve specialist Schubert & Salzer Control Systems from Ingolstadt is expanding its innovative product range of stop valves and control valves for liquid and gaseous media with the segment disk valves and metering orifices from damko Ventiltechnik, Schaafheim. Through an asset deal, Schubert & Salzer Control Systems has acquired the entire Valve and Measurement Technology segment from damko Ventiltechnik, and will integrate it into its headquarters in Ingolstadt.

The functional principle of the segment plate valves, which have been successfully applied in the field of sand-lime brick and aerated concrete manufacture as well as in the chemical and paper industries and during the construction of power plants and ships, is extremely similar to the well-known sliding gate valves from Schubert & Salzer. Both the segment disk valve and the sliding gate valve represent an ideal alternative to the traditional globe valves and are particularly characterised by its significantly lower weight, the compact dimensions, minimal wear as well as low leakage, reduced flow noise, high control precision and speed at a minimal inherent energy consumption.
