A CD-ROM from BEI Kimco Magnetics allows engineers to select the optimum voice coil actuator configurations for their applications. Selecting the actuator involves many variable parameters. Variations of mass, actuation force, distance to travel, type of motion and operational bandwidth are all interactive. The CD-ROM allows engineers to select the optimum actuator configurations. BEI Kimco produces a wide range of actuators, from 8 to 100mm diameter, from 1 to 100mm stroke, force from 0.1 to 5000N. Different configurations are available, some including integral bearings and position feedback components. The CD also includes details of the complete range with all necessary mechanical, dimensional and electrical details.
