SIPOS Aktorik’s electric actuator solar solution has been extended to incorporate the company’s new actuator range. The established system, which supports applications where site conditions make electrical supply problematic, is available with the company’s latest product series, the SIPOS SEVEN.
Developed for remote applications without power source, the package includes full planning / specification, component configuration and solar power modules. Switching cabinet, SIPOS actuator and remote control or time & sequence programmer options are included for a complete bespoke solution.
Customers can continue to select the established SIPOS 5 actuator for the solar solution or choose to incorporate the new generation SIPOS SEVEN with colour display, drive controller and USB interface.
Wide ranging requirements including irrigation, level control and pipeline flow control are addressed by SIPOS’ solar solution. Installations range from traditional process control applications through to more unusual schemes. With worldwide application, the solar system is particularly popular in areas with no utility infrastructure, where connection to an existing power line is not cost-effective or where self-sufficiency is desired.
SIPOS solar commissions include a Mavel Srl contract to aid water management at Pont-Saint-Martin, in the Aosta Valley, Italy. The end-user Compagnie Valdôtaine des Eaux Compagnie, a producer of hydroelectric power, chose SIPOS’ technology as part of a solution to protect tanks and pipes during storm and flood conditions.
