Progroup AG is a major producer of corrugated cardboard in Central Europe. The progressive company has invested in a new production site at Eisenhuettenstadt, Germany which utilises latest technology including actuation from SIPOS Aktorik. The steam and power industrial plant has a production capacity of 650,000tns of corrugated raw paper and material produced from recycled paper. Reliable operation of valves at the plant was identified as an essential operation by both the end user and the scheme’s engineering consultants. As a result, SIPOS’ electric actuators were selected to aid control of the processes.
