Drallim Controls (UK), a Drallim Industries division, has received independent certification from SIRA for its Smart Valve Monitoring system SVM to IEC 61508. Certification states: “The Drallim Smart Valve Monitoring System is suitable for use with ESD safety related systems designed according to IEC 61508 and of any SIL rating.”
“Typically as much as 50% of faults in a safety system can be caused by the valve, and as much as 25% by the associated control components such as the Solenoid Valve and Quick Dump Valves,” commented Derek Essam, Drallim Industries’ Sales & Marketing Director.
