Sodeco Valves acquires Vena Contracta business

Sodeco Valves finalized the purchase of Vena Contracta, a Belgium-based company, for EUR 1M paid in cash from equity. Vena Contracta is known for its expertise in industrial valves designed for extreme conditions, including the transfer of aggressive or toxic fluids and processes operating under high pressure. In 2023, the company reported sales of EUR 1.4M.

The acquisition aims to enhance Sodeco Valves’ product range and market presence. Vena Contracta’s unique suppliers and specialized solutions complement those of Sodeco Valves, potentially expanding market reach. The customer bases of both companies, primarily in chemicals and petrochemicals, align well, creating opportunities for further synergies.

Geert Thomas, Vena Contracta’s founder and sole employee, will remain with Sodeco Valves for at least two years to share his technical expertise and market insights.
