Somalia signs oil and gas exploration deal with Turkey

Somalia has signed an oil and gas exploration deal with Turkey. Abdirizak Omar Mohamed signed the deal on behalf of Somalia while Alparslan Bayraktar did so for the European powerhouse.
Mohamed is Somalia’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources while Bayraktar serves as the Minister of Energy in the Turkish government. The deal, signed in Istanbul, is the latest between the two nations.
In February this year, they signed a 10-year Defense and Economic Cooperation Agreement.
