Special valves for the largest CSP project

OHL Gutermuth is experienced partners when it comes to supplying solar plants with high-pressure valves. The company has even supplied special valves for the construction of the largest Concentrated Solar Power plant in Dubai. The “Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Solar Park”, which will start operating in spring 2022, is the largest CSP plant in the world, with an output of 1100 MW of energy. OHL Gutermuth acted as a consultant to the Chinese plant manufacturer SEC Shanghai Electric and has been involved in the project for several years now. SEC Shanghai Electric specifically chose quality valves from OHL Gutermuth because the Hessen-based company with its headquarters in Altenstadt has many years of expertise in solar plant construction.

The special butterfly valves from OHL Gutermuth were delivered from Altenstadt to Dubai in 2020 and installed in the pipelines, which are up to 64″ 600# in size. However, it is not only in the field of solar system construction that OHL Gutermuth is a sought-after partner for reliable, high-quality solutions. The extensive product portfolio includes butterfly valves, shut-off valves, special valves, and a wide variety of other valves, some of which are designed for nominal diameters of up to DN 4000, pressures of over 200 bar, and temperatures ranging from -196 °C to +1300 °C. All valves are manufactured by highly qualified specialists in Altenstadt and are subjected to rigorous testing in accordance with the most stringent international standards.
