Masoneilan introduces the SteamForm® steam-conditioning valve. The SteamForm® has been designed specifically to handle the rigorous cyclical operation of turbine bypass applications while maintaining the tight shutoff and the reliable control expected of a severe service control valve. The SteamForm® combines technology in control valves with a patented design in water injection to achieve maximum turndown and performance within the shortest downstream distance. Masoneilan uses a spring-loaded, variable orifice cooling system, made up of hollow cone nozzles that are designed to minimize the mass of the water droplets. The unique nozzle system allows for full penetration into the steam flow at a wide range of turndown and assures an evenly distributed downstream temperature profile. The Flow Profiler is designed to increase turbulence and decrease thermal stress resulting from the impact of spray water on the downstream pipe wall.
