SPX Corporation has announced that its Valves and Controls business has been awarded a USD 6.7 million contract to supply an European pipeline company with surge-skid systems, including Dan Flo brand valves, for 10 pipeline stations. SPX supplies surge-skid systems to the liquid pipeline industry worldwide. These systems play an important role in crude oil and refined product pipelines and loading terminals, safeguarding the line from damage that can be caused by pressure surges within the pipeline. By enabling increased throughput, they also allow the pipeline to operate more efficiently.
