Swagelok opens new service centre in Japan

Nippon Swagelok FST Inc. announced today that it will begin operation of a new service and logistics center in eastern Japan on March 21, 2012 in Yokohama City, Kanagawa. Nippon Swagelok FST, a subsidiary of US-based Swagelok Company, is investing to bring more streamlined and consistent services to customers throughout Japan.

The new Service Center East will co-locate and expand the supply of inventory for Swagelok fluid system customers throughout the country. In addition, sales, sales support, customer service, technical service, and IT professionals will join the logistics team at the new site. Customers will benefit from deeper technical knowledge sharing one location. As part of this focus on customer service enhancement, the company is also planning to open a similar facility to support western Japan in 2013.

“We have been listening intently to customer needs and the whole staff is working to deliver services that will fully satisfy customer expectations across Japan,” said Hiroshi Tomimasu, representative director of Nippon Swagelok FST. “As part of this effort, we are opening the Service Center East which will be a foundation of the structure for delivering value beyond the expected.”
