Val-Matic’s AWWA Swing Check Valve is certified to NSF/ANSI 61 for Drinking Water System Components. WQA provided certification of the Val-Matic AWWA Swing Check Valve line after completion of all testing and verification of data. Many states have legislation requirements stating that if certified products are available, they must be used in drinking water systems. Therefore, certification provides a strong advantage in the market place. The Swing Check Valve features a 100% unrestricted flow area, a full-access domed cover, and NSF/ANSI 61 fusion bonded epoxy coating on the interior and exterior for corrosion resistance.
Val-Matic Swing Check Valves can be supplied with lever & weight, air cushion, or lever & spring for positive control in closing the disc. Val-Matic AWWA Swing Check Valves are available in sizes 2”-24” and are constructed of ductile iron in class 150 rates for 250 PSI working pressure. 30”-48” are class 125 constructed of cast iron rated for 150 PSI, with ductile iron available as an option. They are designed and built in accordance with AWWA Standard C508 and are WQA Certified Lead-Free in accordance with NSF/ANSI 372.
