Technip wins EPC contract in France

Total has awarded Technip an engineering, procurement services and construction management contract to increase the capacity of the hydrocracker at the Normandy refinery located in Gonfreville, France. The project is part of a EURO 100 million extension plan for the refinery. Scope of contract includes debottlenecking of the hydrocracking plant, and debottlenecking of the hydrogen unit needed in order to operate the hydrocracker. This extension will increase hydro-conversion capacity to 10,000 tons/day from the current 8000 tons thereby enabling the production of more diesel fuel and kerosene.
