Tecnoma to focus on cheaper trailed sprayers

Tecnoma, the french sprayer-maker is set to focus on the cheaper end of the trailed sprayer market this year. Their new GT2500 model offers 70cm of clearance and uses stainless steel fittings throughout with prices starting from £21,000. A 190-litre rinse tank and 15-litre hand-wash tank are fitted and the main is accessible via a fold-away ladder.

The standard-axle version for the UK market will be fitted with mudguards, 9.5mm R44 wheels, eight-stud hubs with hydraulic brakes and a parking brake. Tyre sizes up to 16.9mm will also be available. The axle itself is manually adjustable from 1.6–2.2m, though UK models are delivered at 1.8m. A fold-away 25-litre induction hopper with can-wash and chemical rinse-down hose is standard, as is an in-cab joystick and Tecnoma’s Regulair pressure control system. Four solenoid-controlled valves are fitted as standard, but this can be upgraded to the new Muller Spraytronic rate controller, which can control up to seven sections at a time.

In addition, HLE booms are offered in widths from 18-24m and are fitted with the company’s own pentajet nozzle body with a choice of nozzles. Booms can also be made to half fold and an optional tilt system is available for sloping ground. A 160-litre/min diaphragm pump is supplied as standard, but can be upgraded to a 250-litre/min unit.
