A made-in-China 140MPa cage throttle valve was successfully applied in Well Keshan 134 Tarim.
The throttle valves used at the wellhead of the Keshan gas field are mostly imported from abroad as the key technologies were subject to the control of others. In the process of accelerating the construction of 50 MT of oil and gas equivalent production projects in Xinjiang Province, it is obvious that the high price of imported throttle valves and the long purchase period are no longer suitable for the comprehensive development of gas fields.
The 140Mpa domestically produced cage-sleeve throttle valve project is a major pilot test project in Tarim oilfield. Through continuous optimization of seal structure design and improvement of material formula, the project has pursued more pressure-resistant and reliable sealing technology, and has achieved no leakage of 213 MPa strength test pressure.
