Threaded-end Series 727 ball valve launched

Victaulic, the manufacturer of mechanical pipe-joining systems, has introduced a threaded-end version of its Series 727 ball valve – a high-pressure, enhanced-port Class 600 NACE-compliant valve for upstream oil applications. The valve, designed for tank and equipment connections, simplifies installation and maintenance and offers excellent flow characteristics.

The threaded-end Series 727 ball valve features a thread-by-groove configuration to maximise installation efficiency. The upstream side of the valve has a male threaded end for ease of connection to threaded outlets, while the downstream side has a grooved end, simplifying the transition to grooved piping systems. The Series 727 ball valve is also available in a groove-by-groove configuration.

The two end configuration options increase the valve’s versatility. The internal design of the Series 727 ball valve has been streamlined to provide superior flow characteristics, offering improved throughput. Flow testing demonstrated up to one-third better flow than competitive standard port ball valves. The two-piece valve features
a floating ball for lower torque requirements and is designed for full open or shut-off service. The valve is offered with an integral tamper-resistant lock and is available bare or with a lever handle.
