TIGRON wins Valve Stars Award 2024

AUMA’s TIGRON has been honoured as the best actuator of the year and is the winner of 2024’s Valve Stars Award in the Actuator category. The award ceremony recently took place at Valve World Expo in Düsseldorf.

“We are very proud of this fantastic award and would like to thank everyone who voted for TIGRON,” said Kai Ewald, Head of Sales Oil & Gas at AUMA, at the ceremony. “When developing TIGRON our aim was to offer the best-in-class actuator for oil and gas applications. A big thank you goes to our AUMA R&D teams, who have fine-tuned this powerful actuator series down to the last detail and thus made recently success possible.”

TIGRON is AUMA’s rugged and future-proof actuator for challenging applications in the hydrocarbon industry. With IIC T4 explosion protection it is even suitable for hydrogen, allowing TIGRON to make an important contribution to the energy transition and climate protection. International certifications, maximum corrosion protection, and an extremely wide temperature range from –65°C to +75°C provide the foundation for TIGRON’s use worldwide under the most diverse environmental conditions, including offshore.

The high-performance multi-turn actuator provides torques up to 1,000 Nm. In combination with AUMA gearboxes, TIGRON can drive gate valves with torques up to 16,000 Nm, ball and butterfly valves with torques up to 675,000 Nm, and globe valves with thrust forces up to 217 kN.

The Valve Stars Awards are given by the German valve industry magazine IAD – Industriearmaturen & Dichtungstechnik in cooperation with the “Messe Düsseldorf” to honour the best products of the year.
