Titanium seminar

The TIG will be holding a one-day seminar entitled “So you want to make it in titanium?” at Austincourt, Birmingham, UK, on 16 October 2002. The seminar is for design engineers, manufacturers, fabricators and users of titanium in all areas of current and potential application. Speakers who are experts in their field will provide up-to-date advice and guidance on design codes and specifications, alloys and properties, manufacturing processes and heat treatment, surface treatments, fabrication, including welding and machining, and how to do these without incurring excessive costs. This seminar will benefit both those who are already familiar with titanium and those who are considering working with the metal for the first time. Titanium and its alloys are now being selected for an ever-widening range
of applications where weight is a factor or corrosion a problem. The Titanium Information Group (TIG) with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers are pleased to provide this opportunity to engineers in every discipline to update their knowledge of this important industrial metal.
