Tolomatic has expanded its “Your Motor Here” (YMH) program to include more than 80 actuator products in nine different series. The YMH program allows designers to match more than 900 models of servo and stepper motors from almost 50 brands. Tolomatic’s YMH online configurator enables thousands of motor-linear actuator combinations. The service is ideal for machine builders and factory automation control engineers as they frequently prefer to specify a particular brand of servo or stepper motor for use on their machines. The expansion of the YMH program gives designers the freedom to use their preferred brand of motor with any of Tolomatic’s rod-style (RSA, GSA) or rod-less style (MXE, MXB, B3S, B3W) actuator products in inline or reverse-parallel drive configurations. The online configurator can be used for either reverse-parallel motor mount or inline combinations. The user selects the motor manufacturer and the motor series and model from a series of drop-down windows. A list of matching Tolomatic actuators is then displayed. Once the actuator is chosen, verification of the motor and mounting plate dimensions can be made. A reference code for the mounting kit is provided as are links to Tolomatic’s sizing and selection software to verify that the selected actuator is sized correctly, including a link to actuator 3D/2D CAD files.
