Tomoe valves at new glass plant

Tomoe Valve has recently secured a contract to supply all the mechanical service butterfly valves on the furnace and filling hall pipeline links at the new Quinn Glass manufacturing plant near Warrington, UK. The new plant is built to manufacture 5 million bottles a day and has 58 filling vessels for various alco-pops and beer filling operations. Working closely with consulting engineering contractor, Lawrence Mechanical , 820 wafer and lugged rubber lined 700 Series Tomoe butterfly valves covering the size range DN50 – DN600, were supplied on a rapid response, call off basis over a 2-3 month period. Since then a further 210 valves have been supplied, again on a rapid response, call off basis, during the past two months. Quinn Glass is building a new state of the art 70,000sqm container glass manufacturing plant with filling lines and an automatic warehouse on a 100 acre site at Ince, Cheshire. This plant will provide a comprehensive glass packaging and filling service for the drinks industry.
