Transmark Fcx announces German acquisition

Transmark Fcx, the leading distributor of valves and flow control equipment, has signalled its intention to expand its operations in Germany with the acquisition of a shareholding in DRW Armaturen GmbH. The company which has been renamed Transmark DRW GmbH will have a key role in growing the firm’s presence in the German market and in servicing Transmark Fcx’s existing supply agreements with international customers such as Shell, who recently signed a major MRO agreement with the group. All existing employees and directors will remain with the company and as well as stocking a range of German valve brands including it’s own branded DIN valve, DRW, it will now also have access to Transmark’s worldwide stockholding which amounts to over EUR 40 million. Thomas Heman has also been appointed Director and shareholder representative with DRW. On announcing the acquisition, Neil Wagstaff, Chief Executive Officer at Transmark Fcx commented “The skills and experience of the team at Transmark DRW combined with our massive range of products will provide customers in Germany with an outstanding valve distribution service. We will be committing a significant stockholding to our German warehouse and will also be investing in others areas such as IT systems so as to ensure a market leading level of customer service.”
