AMPO POYAM VALVES has recently supplied several actuated double block and bleed (twin ball) valves for the Northern Mindanao Import Facility (NMIF) in the Philippines. This plant was inaugurated in July 2016, has a 90M liter fuel storage capacity and will cater to the power and energy needs of millions of consumers in Visayas and Mindanao archipelagos.
The SHELL and the EPC JGC PHILIPPINES have entrusted AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacture of these valves for a really critical application, where it is indispensable to guarantee maximum sealing and insulation of the line, thus ensuring system integrity. With the aim of achieving this objective, double ball valves have replaced the use of two individual continuous isolation valves. DBB valves carry out the closing of the two balls simultaneously, thus guaranteeing complete insulation of the line and reducing fugitive emissions risks.
