Tyco Flow Control increases presence in China

Tyco Flow Control has been working with China to meet its demand for nuclear solutions, and was awarded two separate contracts to provide the critical safety valves for four nuclear reactors, the first in the world installed with Westinghouse’s newest AP1000 Gen3+ reactor technology. Of the approximately 100 nuclear reactors set to be built worldwide over the next 10 years, about 70 will be built in China. To best support China’s needs, Tyco Flow Control has significantly expanded its presence in China in the power generation market. It has established a team of more than 50 direct nuclear power sales engineers dedicated to providing localized, customized support and products certified to meet the stringent safety requirements for nuclear power generation. This has also helped to strengthen procurement relationships for nuclear products within the country.
