Tyco merges valve operations

The Flow Control division of Tyco International Ltd will merge its two valve operations together on a global basis. Formerly operating as two separate business units, Tyco Valves & Controls and Tyco Engineered Products, will merge to form the largest single valve operation in the world. Philippe Meyer, President of Tyco Valves & Controls world-wide, commented that this move was essential in order to capitalise on the group’s strengths whilst improving the clarity with which customers perceive the operation. “Our customers have been telling us for some time that it is important to reduce their supplier base, whilst ensuring that each can offer the widest possible range of product and service. The merged operation will produce one integrated business unit, under the name of Tyco Valves & Controls, which will encompass the widest range of valves, actuators, control accessories and instrumentation products available from one source.” The new operation includes several brands of valves and actuators, including Anderson Greenwood Crosby, Keystone, Sempell, FCT, Biffi, Vanessa, KTM, Raimondi, Neotecha, Yarway, Winn/Hindle, Clarkson and many more.
