ResHydro said it is establishing operations in Glasgow, Scotland, the first U.S.-based renewable energy company to invest in the country.
ResHydro uses industrial science to harness the power of water currents to produce electricity. The Scotland office will allow the company to work in partnership with the University of Strathclyde to advance its hydrokinetic energy generation device.
The partnership was helped by a $152,000 award from Scottish Development International.
