UAE: tube fittings for gas project

Parker Instrumentation’s (Barnstaple, UK) A-LOK tube fittings have been specified for the offshore platforms and onshore gas processing plant required for the Dolphin gas project. The Dolphin Gas Project will supply gas from Qatar’s North Field to the UAE from 2006. As well as supplying A-LOK tube fittings fabricated from 316 stainless steel, Parker will manufacture significant quantities using Hastelloy and 6Mo alloys. The agreement for offshore applications is with the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contractor J Ray McDermott Middle East Inc. who won the contract from Dolphin Energy to provide two integrated drilling and production platform complexes. In addition to supplying large volumes of tube fittings, Parker Instrumentation is supplying JGC and its sub-contractors with a range of ball-, needle- and plug-valves fitted with integral compression tube fitting connections. These valves provide a simple connection that eliminates the conventional need for taper thread connections to tubing.
