Technip has announced that Technip USA’s office in Claremont, California, has been awarded a 19.4 MMSCFD hydrogen plant by Cenex Harvest States (CHS) for their refinery in Laurel, Montana, as part of the Tier-II clean fuels programme. Technip’s scope covers design, engineering, procurement and construction for the complete plant. The hydrogen plant will use Technip’s steam reforming technology, and the design will be tailored for a high degree of energy efficiency as well as environmental compliance employing low-NOx combustion. The plant is scheduled for completion in February 2005.
