Valtorc launched sanitary high-performance 316 butterfly valve series for the sanitary and fine chemical fields. The valves incorporate an advanced design and are offered in sizes up to 12″ in manual or actuated packages. All valves underwent extreme and extensive testing and field evaluation prior to introduction. The USDA approved valve is ideal for the food services industry. It can withstand pressures up to 110psi and temperatures of 200°F.
The high-performance sanitary butterfly valve body is made of ASTM 316L grade stainless steel. Its surface finish meets 3-A, FDA & USDA standards and the 316L mirror finish disc provides an even flow preventing obstructions and restrictions. The opposing body bolt design prevents loosening between body sections due to vibration and operation, and provides positive sealing. It comes with a 13-position, 304SS, spring-loaded lever lock handle. It is suitable for actuation with pneumatic, electric, or canister actuators. The valve is available in other FDA-approved options such as silicone, EPDM and VITON.
