Midland Manufacturing has created its Valve Remanufacturing Program in order to give its customers the ability to re-qualify their Midland rail tank car valves currently in service and have them restored to like-new condition while also cost-effectively providing the data needed to manage planned maintenance intervals. Midland has recently implemented a series of initiatives for the remanufacturing program that have been designed to improve the level of service to the customer in order to meet their needs. Among them are: more dedicated, highly trained personnel for remanufacturing processes; new dedicated equipment for remanufacturing; the ability to tailor remanufacturing programs to meet specific customer needs; the ability to report back Midland’s findings more efficiently to the customer with suggested practices; and better, quicker turnaround of remanufactured valves with a new one-year warranty.
