With normal pressure differentials in excess of 400bar, pump recycle valves for offshore methanol injection service generally have a limited life and require continual maintenance. To address these problems, CCI has used its tortuous-path Drag valve trim to provide a valve with extended longevity that requires almost no maintenance. The CCI methanol injection pump recycle valve uses multiple velocity controlling stages to provide precise control while minimising excess fluid energy. With valves in this application predominately requiring as many as 32 stages of velocity control, the CCI Drag trim provides exceptional control and effectively eliminates the wear problems previously associated with this type of service. The result is a reliable long-lasting valve that requires minimal service, or replacement parts.
