Valve World Expo recognized in German Advertising

German-based publisher ECON-Verlag publishes the Advertising Yearbook that has been honoring the 500 best German ad campaigns by category each year since 1964. Advertising campaigns in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are documented in a comprehensive guide. The Advertising Yearbook has established itself in the media market for years as an accepted benchmark of the communications industry. Both submitted works and the winners of the prestigious Megaphon prize are published in the yearbook. Messe Düsseldorf was included in the coveted Advertising Yearbook 2010 with their international advertising campaign accompanying the move of the Valve World Expo and Congress from Maastricht/NL to Düsseldorf. An extensive campaign including ads, posters, brochures, press kit covers, mailings to visitors and press releases directed to the international media promoted the relocation of the trade fair with its congress for industrial fittings to the fairgrounds on the Rhine. White, stylized views of Maastricht and Düsseldorf are shown on a red background across all advertising media to symbolize relocation from the Meuse to the Rhine. A yellow town sign points the way from Maastricht to Düsseldorf, 109km away. The advertising campaign aims to further strengthen the position of the trade fair for industry valves and fittings in the market and inspire more exhibitors and visitors to attend the premiere in Düsseldorf from 30 November to 2 December 2010.
