The flue gas desulfurisation wet scrubber (FGD-WS) systems are at the heart of the coal power industries emission controls. These systems contain a high number of specialised knife gate valves. Among the many piping runs within the FGD-WS, typically the alkaline absorber slurry recirculation valves are responsible for isolating and managing the slurry flow in and around the absorber.
