Italian valve specialist FCX Orton, in partnership with British partner HSP, have secured a major order to supply a complete range of valves for the In Salah gas plant in Algeria. The order, from MW Kellogg UK (a joint venture between JGC and Kellogg Brown & Root) is the first in a frame agreement that includes the supply of Triple Eccentric Metal Seated Valve Orton MV Series in carbon steel, stainless steel and duplex material, in sizes ranging from 8″ to 30″ and up to rating cl. 900. The agreement also includes the supply of several conventional Orton DS butterfly lined valves for the fire-fighting system on underground service. Phase 1 of the In Salah gas plant project will be completed by June 2004 for gas transportation to Spain and Italy.
