Valves on ice

Tönisvorst (part of the Arca Valve group) has delivered an order worth several hundred thousand euro to Tarkosal/North-West Siberian Lowland. The buyer was the Meshregionkomplekt Moskau, one of the largest companies of the Russian petrol industry.
Temperatures as low as minus 60 degrees Celsius demand valves that resist extreme weather conditions. 30 valves type 6H7-P1, diameter DN25 to DN 200 and pressure rating PN 250 were required. Partly multi-stage trims for high pressure drops were chosen and were all equipped with a strong electric actuator. Material qualified for low temperature standing was solid cast steel of the cold-resisting type group GS21Mn5.
