Velan is pleased to announce its support for Canadians for CANDU, a campaign to promote the deployment of CANDU nuclear technology at home and abroad in support of Canadian and global efforts to reach net-zero emissions.
Canadians for CANDU was launched on February 28, 2024, under the leadership of Co-Chairs the Right Honourable Jean Chretien and former Ontario Premier Mike Harris.
“Velan has participated in the CANDU adventure since the beginning. We are proud to have our products installed in every single CANDU power plant in operation, and we will continue to support its development. Our ‘Made in Canada’ nuclear valves remain a reference for the industry, and we will remain a significant player in this new era for nuclear,” Laurent Pefferkorn, Executive Vice President of Velan declared.
