Aerodyne recently announced the addition of the StopTight(TM) manual and pneumatic knife gate valves for dry solids, granules and powders. In addition to discharging dry, free-flowing materials from gravity-fed hoppers, silos, mixers, screw conveyors and chutes, this valve is a reliable and economical way to isolate airlock valves from hoppers during routine maintenance or emergency shut-downs. The cast-aluminum body and stainless-steel slide plate make this valve suitable for a wide range of materials including: plastics, chemicals and foodstuffs. The tapped flanges and thin profile also allow this valve to fit smaller spaces whether in the 8, 10 or 12 inch sizes, and with manual or pneumatic operation.
