VETUS has reintroduced the motorised ball valves into their product range. Motorised ball valves are the ideal answer for seacocks in hard to reach places, or simply to increase convenience on board. With this new line of motorised valves, VETUS introduces a unique product range. The combination of an aluminium casing, metal gears, stainless steel (AISI 316) ball valve capable of handling extremely high torque of up to 220 Nm results in a highly reliable product with wide-ranging applications. Furthermore, the motor is ignition-protected and certified to the ISO 8846 Marine standard, for use in the engine room without risk of explosion. Under normal operating conditions, the actuator is lubricated for life, so maintenance is minimal.
The MV12 and MV24 are IP67-rated stainless steel (AISI 316) ball valves housed in powder-coated aluminium casing. It comes with metal transmission and gears and can withstand high torque (reduced chance of jamming) as well as provide thermal overload protection. It is also suitable for diesel fuel and is available in sizes from G½ to G2.
