Water treatment contract

Invensys has won a substantial project management contract as part of the on-going refinery modernisation project that Italy-based ENI is carrying out at its Priolo refinery in Sicily. The EUR 326,000 contract is for the supply and installation of an Invensys control system for a grassroots water treatment project currently under construction at Priolo. In addition to the control hardware and software, the contract includes project management, commissioning, start-up and training services to be provided by Invensys Italia. A significant amount of Invensys equipment – including I/A Series automation systems, Triconex safety systems, and Foxboro field instrumentation – is already installed at the site. The new Eurotherm-based control system will bring the total value of installed Invensys equipment on the site to over USD10 million.
