Yokogawa India Limited announced the successful acquisition of Adept Fluidyne Pvt. Ltd. by its parent company, Yokogawa Electric Corporation of Japan. This significant acquisition, attended by Sajiv Nath, Vice President of Yokogawa Electric-Japan, and Vinayak Gadre, Managing Director of Adept Fluidyne, strengthens Yokogawa’s position in the industrial flowmeter market.
Yokogawa has been a key player in diverse industries such as water and wastewater treatment, oil & gas, chemicals, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, metals & mining, power, and food & beverage since establishing its Indian subsidiary in 1987. The acquisition of Adept, a leading Indian manufacturer of magnetic flowmeters, aligns with the ‘Make in India’ initiative and addresses the growing demand for flowmeters driven by Agile manufacturing practices.
Yokogawa plans to enhance Adept’s manufacturing and calibration facilities in Pune, ensuring local production of high-quality magnetic flowmeters. This move combines Indian expertise with Japanese quality, fostering innovation and growth.
Sajiv Nath expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, highlighting the commitment to ‘Make in India’ and the sustainable transformation of India’s industrial landscape. Vinayak Gadre emphasized Adept’s long-standing reputation, with over 70,000 flowmeters supplied globally and a robust sales network in India and beyond.
