Three Shetland-based leading engineering and fabrication companies have joined forces with supply chain and business improvement experts to form a new joint venture, ZE1 Global. Together as ZE1 Global, the individual expertise of the four separate organisations will combine for the benefit of all to provide large-scale, specialist engineering and fabrication for major projects from Shetland, from a location that ideally positions it as central to all operations in the UK Continental Shelf. The new company has specifically been created to attract investment into Shetland, with the aim of becoming the main contractor of choice for major engineering and fabrication turnkey solutions to the oil and gas, renewable energy, utility, marine and decommissioning sectors. While oil and gas is a primary focus, ZE1 Global will also provide services to the renewables sector.
