Steel valves for Iran’s 9th olefin complex

OMB Valves has announced a successful award of a contract by Technip and Nargan for the supply of forged steel valves to the new Ethane Cracker plant in the 9th Olefin Complex of the National Petrochemical Company of Iran (NPC). This project, worth for Technip more than EUR 200 million, involves the supply a variety of valve for a one million-ton-a-year ethylene steam cracker to be built in the complex at Asaluyeh, Iran, on the northern coast of the Persian Gulf.
According to this contract, OMB Valves will supply the JV during the whole phase of the construction gate, globe and check valves according to API602 standard in a wide range of materials, sizes and pressure classes. The completion of delivery is scheduled for July 2003 with the first shipment of valves to the job site scheduled for October 2002.
