Valves for pulp mill

In Germany in the North of Saxony-Anhalt one of the biggest pulp mills in the world is being build on a former nuclear power plant site. The plant will be operating almost continuously, so extremely high demands are made on the reliability and ease of maintenance of the valves. In the field of turbines and process water treatment the ARCA linear valves have been chosen. They have been successfully operating for years in the sister pulp and paper plant Rosenthal. The intelligent positioner ARCAPRO® with extended diagnosis gives detailed information about the condition of the valves and about possible disturbances. Preventive maintenance can thus be planned more efficiently and production stops will be reduced to a minimum.
The new pulp mill will be self-sustaining in terms of energy. The necessary energy will be produced on site on the basis of wood ingredients detached in digestion processes.
