Today, many advanced technologies use geothermal energy and it is gaining importance. ARCA Regler, Tönisvorst/ Germany have already realised several projects at home and abroad using geothermal energy and faces the new control challenge.
For these projects turbine bypass valves and re-liquidation required pump bypass valves for a cavitation free operation were necessary. Special requirements with the turbine bypass valves have been the low noise version and the compact design. The high control range for diverse operation modes in connection with very short regulating times have been considered.
The task of the turbine bypass valves involves directing the energy along the turbine and relieving pressure low-noise. By the Arca- constructed valve of the ECOTROL® series type 6 N that comes with a multi-stage parabolic plug and integrated silencer, this has been realized.
The use of geothermal energy for power generation and heat supply is a regenerative, independent alternative to conventional technologies such as nuclear energy, coal, gas and oil. The predicted growth rates for geothermal energy are excellent and offer a huge potential.
